Many people assume that a defining moment of my career was receiving the QS Reimagine Education Awards \u2013 Overall Education Winner <\/strong>2023<\/strong>.
But the truth is\u2026 the defining moment came after<\/em> the applause faded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standing on that stage, holding the award, I felt proud \u2014 but I also felt something deeper:
A quiet but unmistakable conviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If purpose-led education could transform thousands of students within a university, what might it do for a whole generation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years, as a university leader, I witnessed two realities at the same time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 Students are achieving academically, yet feeling disconnected, anxious, or unsure of their direction.
2\ufe0f\u20e3 Students coming alive when they found purpose \u2014 stepping into communities, solving real problems, and discovering who they could become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those moments changed me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They taught me that students are not waiting to be pushed\u2026
They are waiting to be awakened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that awakening happens not through lectures alone, but through purpose, empathy, courage, and meaningful engagement with the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, after many late-night reflections \u2014 and yes, a good amount of fear \u2014 I made a decision that surprised many:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stepped away from a stable leadership position to build something new: Impact Catalysts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not because it was the easier path.
But because it was the truer<\/em> one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact Catalysts is my commitment to Malaysia\u2019s young people \u2014 to create an ecosystem where they can say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will solve this.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a leap of purpose.
A leap of hope.
A leap of belief in the next generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I begin this next chapter, I carry deep gratitude for every colleague, mentor, student, CSO partner, and parent who shaped my journey.
Leaving a university leadership role was not an ending \u2014 it was the beginning of a mission that feels larger than myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I have never been more certain:
Malaysia is ready for a movement of young changemakers.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
